Listed below is a selection of the latest news items for some of the age groups currently in training.

Despite the best effects of the boys, they came out Runners-Up to a very strong Banbury United side.  A goal just before half time, and a further goal mid-way through the second half saw Banbury United winners 2-0.

Horspath put up a spirited come-back when they came out for the second half, and had 2 very close attempts on goal, firstly from Samuel Wharton, and later in the half from a long range shot from Guy Swain.

Local Television Coverage was provided by BBC South Today, due to the fact that the Under 14’s final was being referred by a Female Referee.  The football was shown on Television on the Sunday evening during the Local Sports Round-up, with both teams being well represented in the coverage.

We are hoping to get a link to the coverage on the BBC website, so please watch this space for further details.

And Finally, HUGH CONGRATULATIONS to the Under 14’s for making it as far as the final, and giving all the parents and supporters such a great day out.   You were all a credit to the club, with your behavior and attitude (both before, during and particularly after the game), in our eyes you were all Winners.  Well done boys.
